Language Placement

All students submit a Spanish language essay with their application. Final language placement will be made after arrival in Spain. All students take a comprehensive placement examination that evaluates proficiency in reading, writing, speaking and listening. Students are placed in the appropriate level of Spanish Language and Culture. Those who place highly enough have the option of replacing this class with two courses at the University of Salamanca.
