Faculty and Staff Overview
CET maintains a team of three staff in Harbin to oversee every aspect of the Harbin program. A full-time academic director manages the academics--training teachers, monitoring classes and adjusting the program's flexible curriculum to accommodate each student. A full-time resident director oversees all non-academic aspects of the program such as housing, roommates and activities. A part-time resident advisor is on site to help students adjust to life in Harbin.

CET's Harbin Academic Director selects language teachers from HIT's pool of experienced faculty. Selected instructors then participate in the Academic Director's teacher training program. All of CET Harbin's language instructors specialize in Chinese language teaching (with the exception of the one-on-one teachers, who specialize in the area of each student's interest) and many have graduate degrees in Chinese or language pedagogy. Some some have taught at institutions in the US.
